2025 Call for Posters - Closed

In partnership with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and the Missouri Department of Conservation, the National Wild Turkey Federation seeks abstracts for poster presentations on the ecology and management of wild turkeys for the 13th Wild Turkey Symposium, December 8-11 at the Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Center, Kansas City, Missouri.

The Wild Turkey Symposium occurs every 3-5 years, with the 1st Wild Turkey Symposium occurring in 1959, bringing together state, federal, and private wild turkey researchers, land managers, and wild turkey enthusiasts to exchange ideas about ensuring the conservation and sustainability of the wild turkey resource.

We welcome abstract submissions that report on completed or on-going work related to:
  • Wild Turkey Ecology
  • Human Dimensions
  • Disease
  • Population Dynamics
  • Harvest Management
  • Habitat Conservation
By submitting an abstract, a presenting author is indicating they will attend the Symposium to present their work.

Abstracts should include title, authors with presenting and corresponding authors indicated, and should be limited to 250 words. Please directly submit abstracts by September 12, 2025 to David Haukos, Editor, 13th Wild Turkey Symposium Proceedings at [email protected].

Corresponding authors will be notified of acceptance by 26 September 2025.
